Charting:

  • I guess i'll start off with talking about tick note usage
  • 48972 - here its a really tricky section, which is already pretty hard to read but you also choose to make it grayscale. This made it basically unreadable on the skin i was playing with, trying with default skins its also a too big jump in difficulty. Also i dont think its needed
  • 64332 - in this section tick note hell doubles, i'd say the usage of them isnt very thought through. Its timed sure, but you put tick notes after lns and right before notes. If the game didnt have release timings it would've been more bearable
  • 126372 and 127332 and 128292 - why these jacks here, in the whole section you set up that you just do simple stream bursts for precussion.
  • 160332-175692 - you're breaking trills way too early, i think you should keep them longer to represent the guitar better.
  • 223812 - imo would've been better to just do some rolls
  • 226092 - weird tick note usage here, keep doing tick tick or note tick, note with 2 ticks after is not consistent with your patterning here
  • 234132 - note tick tick
  • 236052 - note tick tick

Effect:

  • 80412-140892 - this entire section the playfield is just zoomed out, i dont really see a reason to keep it like that for the whole minute. Also would benefit from some flashes or at least changes in bloom throught out the drop, kinda stale.
  • 145332 - playfield movement comes kinda out of nowhere, i guess change patterning where first note is closer to center, so it reads a bit better for the first time. Maybe reconsider using the playfield movement like that, since its the only instance in the whole map where its like this
  • 175692 - stop beat pulse here
  • 223812 - you zoom out here for this section, but later at 225612 you dont go to full zoom like how it was before.

  • make the effects right at the beginning start at like -3000 instead of right at 0 so that theyre there before the notes come
  • i think your beat pulses would look a bit more intense if you lowered the zoom in %
  • 00:16.091 remember how i said to change up the layering? i did say it was the least problematic here but it is a little weird that all the other parts like this are charted differently now
  • 00:48.972 make sure this zoom doesnt make the receptors go offscreen, same with at 2:57.612
  • 00:13.452, 01:04.331 and 01:15.852 all these lane switches are a bit too fast. please make them happen earlier with a longer animation length
  • make the sv swap to 1x at 1:17.772. the drum fill is really hard to read when the scroll speed is slow. you also just forget to ever change it back before the guitar solo
  • add a single note at 2:20.892
  • 2:40.332 make this single note a 2 note chord and move the notes directly after to make it so there isnt a jack there
  • 2:43.812 and 2:48.132, make these 2 note chords into single notes
  • 2:55.692 making the sv here 0.5x is really slow, id suggest making it like 0.85x mostly because it keeps the same effect you want while not making it nearly as hard to get good accuracy on.

  • edit > apply offset > 12 ms
  • mp3 file is 320kbps when the max allowed is 192kbps
  • song should be cut because less than 75% of the audio is mapped
  • there are a lot of charting and effects things that would be much easier to go over either in a call or over discord in #charting-discussion or #purifying-help due to stuff like being able to show images and explain myself without it being a wall of text. some parts like the drum fills and chording are harder to both explain and understand in this kind of modding format.
